The Pearland High School Lady Oilers softball team was sent off to the state championship May 29 by district staff, families and community members. What you need to know The Lady Oilers recorded at least 37 wins and six losses during the regular season, including district, playoff and tournament games, according to MaxPreps. Pearland will face the Waco Midway Lady Panthers at 1 p.m. on May 30 at Red and Charline McCombs Field at the University of Texas at Austin, according to a May 26 news release from the district. The team last advanced to the state championship in 2023, where they won the state title.
